Little Boots

Born Victoria Christina Hesketh in Blackpool, Lancashire; Little Boots, is an English electropop songstress and bedroom producer, infamously known around the world wide web for posting her first few songs online along with photos of her in her panties whilst holding a MicroKorg keyboard. That ultimately lead the whole bedroom producer scene into a frenzy and the image was haunting every DJ's wet dreams. Taking her stage name from Caligula (which means Little Boots in Latin), she the began writing her own songs and started posting covers on Youtube and MySpace. Her steady slew of self produced music, consisting of electro bubblegum pop, married with new wave elements were nothing short of spectacular.

Her debut album, Hands, released on 8th June 2009, peaked at #5 in the UK albums chart. The first single, 'New In Town' became an instant top 20 hit, along with the video, crossing international waters. Her next single 'Remedy' is set to be released on the 16th of August, but as a giant fanatic, we've provided you with the unreleased video! Woohoo!

Head on down to her MySpace page, and show her some blogger love!

La Roux

La Roux (pronounced /laˈRu/) are a British electropop synth duo band made up of singer and synth player Elly Jackson, and co-writer and co-producer Ben Langmaid, with Jackson describing their respective roles as "very much a half and half sharing situation... not like a singer producer outfit", but also recognising that it often can "look like a solo act".[1]. Their music is influenced by 1980s synthpop including Yazoo, The Human League, Heaven 17 and Blancmange.

WhoMadeWho

About WhoMadeWho;
WhoMadeWho may lack a question mark after their name but their music will certainly have you asking after them. Why do they dress up in skeleton suits when they play live? Why does a band supposedly known for disco punk start their second album with an outbreak of omnious sounding woodwind? And why do they fill their most breezy pop moments with teutonic synths? The Danish trio are difficult to pin down but their music sounds as effortless as it is stylistically and sonically adventurous. WhoMadeWho are on a mission to eschew convention. (more)

GoldieLocks

GoldieLocks says;
Alright? I'm Goldie, I live in Croydon. I'm 75% English and 25% Swedish.

I'm a producer and 'rapper' / singer. I'm not very techy, I don't like wires or being a computer boff, it takes me a while to work things out but when I work it out it sounds amazing. To me anyway.

I'd rather have respect than money, and I am ALWAYS original. There is nothing more I hate than copy cats or fakers. I hate people who chat bullshit, drop names or buy champagne. Music means more to me than a new car, fresh garms or a chain.

So far I've had 2 singles and an EP released through Locked On, I have a publishing deal with Puregroove, songs featured in the film 'Adulthood', played at some amazing places around the world and been in some cool magazines. Not bad for a girl from Croydon who left school at 16 to go and work in JD Sports, but I'm still only just starting.

I always have and always will be independent. I run my own empire. I have the last say. I don't rely on other people to do anything, because they always fuck it up. I don't care if you hate what I do, because there's a small percentage of people who love it.

People always ask me what style my music is. I don't know really, a bit of Electro, a bit of Grime, a bit of Dub, a bit of Garage, and a bit of Pop. I more look up to guys than girls, I've never been a girly girl and most females in the music industry are used, abused, and rubbish (or groupies).
